WOOLLEN CLOTHES COLLECTION DRIVE

At TSRS, we pride ourselves on our social conscience and the social initiatives born of it. With the warmth of Christmas and the approaching holiday festivities in the air, we turned our thoughts to bringing winter warmth and cheer to the less fortunate members of our society, tying up with the NGO Goonj. 

Goonj has been highlighting winters as an ignored disaster for the people who have little. We strongly believe that it’s not the cold but the lack of clothing that kills people. This makes the large scale casualties due to winter, an avoidable and preventable disaster. To counter this crisis, we lent support to Goonj’s annual winter campaign 'Odha Do Zindagi', which urges urban masses to contribute winter clothing for the people who struggle to survive the harsh winters.

We planned a collection drive where we collected basic hand-me-down woollen clothing (sweaters, coats, thermals, mufflers, gloves, shoes, socks, blankets etc) which were distributed to the under-privileged through Goonj.
